Stamp With Linda Walsh

Hello, Everyone,

Here's my card for the swap I've been hosting for the month.  I'll showcase a couple of cards a night from the others who have participated until they're gone, and then I'll post them under "Your Cards" on my site.

I received a few punch art cards in the swap that were absolutely wonderful, so that got me wanting to do a bit of punch art myself.   This card doesn't actually use punches but does use the Big Shot.  To make the tree I used the Perfect Pennants Die and then just cut 1" strips of DSP and adhered that to my Pefect Pennants tree that I cut out.  I then used the Tasteful Trim die for the silver glimmer paper.

Thanks for visiting with me today, and watch for upcoming posts with more swap cards and inspiration!

Linda

Hi, All,

There's a story behind these little guys, for sure.  There's many angry bird projects out there that I've seen so I don't know who to give credit to for this idea.  Here's some cards that I did and some directions, although they aren't as clear as I'd like them to be.

There's a purple angy bird that we did because my daughter's friend wanted one for his birthday.  Come to find out, he made up the purple angry bird.  I guess there isn't one???? Well, you've got me.  I don't think I've even seen the show.

Hi, All,

Here's a little holiday tree.  It was a bit challenging.  I used a 1 3/8" circle and glued each row of pleated paper to it.

Each row is 1 x 12, 1 1/4 x 12, and 1 1/2 x 12.  Use the Rosette die from SU and it pleats it for you.  Yeah!

Thanks for visiting with me today!

Hello, All,

It's Friday and it's time for the holiday challenge in the forum.  I hope you can join us.  Each week there's a new challenge.  You have all month to finish the projects.  No pressure here.  Just have fun.  Each month I'll be giving out a prize.  This month it's these wonderful rub-ons from Stampin' Up!

This Friday it's a holiday challenge.  Make a project for any holiday.  I decided to concentrate on Christmas this time.   Aren't these Christmas cows the cutest?  LeeAnn Greff had these on her site.  Her downline made them.  They didn't have the Santa hat on them, so why not dress him up for the holiday!

Submit your holiday project here.  I can't wait to see them :)

Here's the link to the punch art page.

Just sign up to be a member and submit your projects for fabulous prizes :)

Thanks for joining me!

Hello, Everyone,
My niece is graduating from Univ. of TX, and I think their colors are orange and white.  I'm crossing my fingers I have that right.  I've been fooled before about school colors when looking them up on the web, and made the wrong color, ughh!

The punches I used for the owl are the owl punch, scalloped oval, pennant punch, itty bitty shapes pack.

I just rolled up a piece of copy paper for the diploma.  The stamp set is "Go Graduate" from SU which is retired.

Thanks for visiting with me!

Hi, Everyone,

I'm using up some old DSP from a few years ago.  Remember the purples we used to have in our color paletts?  This card uses the Shades of Spring DSP and Orchid Opulence for the base of the card.

Also, I found this awesome tutorial on how to make paper bows.  Here's the tutorial.

Hi, Everyone,

Here's a cute idea!  I saw this on a few cards.  I'm not sure who came up with it first, but on one of the postes they mentioned getting this idea at founders circle or leadership (I can't remember which).   So here's the punches used:

Extra Large Oval (119859)
Large Oval (119855)
Owl Builder (118074)
Bird Builder (117191)

This card also uses the sketch MOJO219.

Hi, Everyone,

I've made before, a few years back, a flower pot card.  I have to say that I thought this one came out so much better than before.  My my taste has changed.  These are so simple to make, but have such a wow effect.  We'll be making this in our next club.  Fun, Fun!

All the paper I used is from the Brights and In Color tablets from SU.  The pot is Rich Razzleberry and Regal Rose.  I just love how bright and cheery it is.

Thanks for visiting with me today.
