Stamp With Linda Walsh

Hi, Everyone,

I haven't made a card in so long.  I've been so busy with craft fairs that I have to now get going with my cards.  I made two here for the SC359 challenge.  I thought this would get me going with my holiday cards :)

I know it's hard to see from the picture, but the background is the gold metallic paper and the ribbon actually has metallic gold in it, also.  I hate it when I can't capture how beautiful it looks in person.  Well, you get the idea, right?

Card Ingredients:
Merry & Type stamp set
Petals a Plenty embossing folder
Sizzlit Merry Details (retired)

I also took a gold pen and colored around the ornaments and the berries on the embossing folder to give it that extra gold pop.  You can't have too much gold, right?

View my other card below, too.  They use the same product but with different paper.
Linda
Here's the second one for SC359.

Card Ingredients:

Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Jolly Holiday DSP (retired)
Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder
1/8" Old Olive ribbon
Sizzlits Merry Details (retired)

Thanks for visiting with me today!

This is for the Mojo challenge.   I haven't had a chance to use the owl punch that much yet.  This is a great punch to add to your punch sets.  For the Mojo challenges you follow a sketch and use your stamps and paper, and this is what I created.

Hello, Everyone,

I've used the sketch from Splitcoast to complete this card.  It's a weekly sketch that is put out for you to follow.  Here's my take on their design.  Hope you like it!

I used the French Foliage set and embossed the leaves with gold.  I had to throw in a little of the Cajoun Craze in there.  I love that color.

Hello, Everyone,

Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler

Ink:  Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler

Ribbon:  1 1/4" Striped Chocolate Chip ribbon (retired), but Early Espresso is somewhat close to it.

Hello, Everyone,

This card I did for the challenge at Splitcoast, SC289.  I thought I would use this in our club for August, too.  We'll be learning the watercooring technique with this card.

I needed a card for a retirement coming up, but you could put anything you'd like on it.

I used the Sailor's knot or the Carrick Bend knot with the Hemp Twine.  You can look at the US Powerboating website to view a video of how to do it.   For some reason it wouldn't let me copy the shortcut for you.

Just don't pull it totally tight.  You want to be able to see the Figure 8 in the knot (if that makes sense)

Happy Stampin'

Hello, Everyone,

I was asked to do a few bridal shower and wedding cards.  Here's two of the shower cards below.  I used the retired "For the Bride" stamp set.  Also retired is the Appricot Appeal paper on the Basic Gray card and the Bella Bleu DSP is also retierd on the Vanilla paper card.

The top card is using the layout for MOJO Monday 146.  Every Monday there's a new layout to try.  I love doing these.  I thought this card fit beautifully with this layout.

Thanks for stopping by.

This is for MOJO133.  This card came out totally different from what I started with.  I didn't even start off with this paper pack, but I did know I could do something with this Mojo layout.  I thought this was a great layout.

This card is for two challenges.  One is for SCS which is TLC266.  For this challenge you're supposed to decorate the inside and the outside of your card.

Card Sketch 57 is for card patterns where you're to follow the photo.  You can change the orientation like I did, too.

I used two stamp sets.  The one on the front is from the Abundant Hope set in the Occasions Mini.  I thought this was a good set not only for Easter but also for a sympathy card.   This set is only available for another month and then the new mini catalogs come out.  Yippee!

I stamped "With Sympathy" in the lower left-hand corner of the card using the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.  This set has everything you could possibly want to say in it.  It may seem expensive to buy one set like this, but when you figure it out, it's less than $2 a stamp.  You basically don't need another sentiment set if you have this one.  I use it all the time.

Hope you like.

Here's the inside of my card below.  I've used the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.  This set is wonderful if someone is not feeling well or it's a sympathy card you need.   The stamp inside says "Sending thoughts of love and praying for the Lord to sustain you with bright and restful days."

Here's the card sketch that I followed.  I just turned it on the upside.
