Stamp With Linda Walsh

This will be one of our projects for club night September 9, 2009.  This was fun to make -  a little piecy but fun.  I cut out a whole Top Note die in white as a guide.  Then I cut out a Top Note in three colors, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Yellow and Old Olive.  A way to save on paper would be to cut the three colors into thirds and place them on your Top Note die so as only to cut it once with the three colors (not a whole Top Note for each color).  Using the white Top Note as your guide, glue all three pieces on.   Outline the edge with black marker.
Then cut a Top Note out of translucent paper.  Stamp your image on the translucent paper.  Dry with heat gun (translucent paper will smudge if handled and not dry).  I used small brads from a local craft store to adhere the translucent Top Note over my Top Note with the three colors.  I did use adhesive where the Haunted House is so you won't see it.  If anyone knows of some good adhesive that won't show through the translucent paper,  please share.
I then tied Black and Old Olive ribbon around the bottom of the Top Note and tied a piece of Pumpkin Pie ribbon to that.  I used Old Olive photo corners and it's done.
If you'd like to order any of these products, email me or head on over to my Stampin' Up! site

I'm attending a party today at one of my friends and thought I would make her something to thank her for having me.  With Halloween coming up, I thought she and the children would enjoy this filled with candy.

Recipe:

Stamp Sets:  House of Haunts (111574) and Twick or Tweet (116497)
Paper:  Pumpkin Pie, Black, Whisper White
Ribbon:  Striped Pumpkin Pie (110715)

I stamped the ghosts from the Twick or Tweet stamp set all over the Pumpkin Pie paper.

I stippled the background for the haunted house Summer Yellow and Pumpkin Pie ink, and for the bottom by the gravestones I stippled Old Olive and Always Artichoke

Thanks for visiting my site.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set:  Serene Snowflakes (115438)
Paper:  Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP from Holiday catalog starting in September (116770), Real Red (102482), Whisper White (100730)
Ink:  Ruby Red (102259)
Accessories:  Real Red Ribbon (109034), Heat & Stick Powder (100625), Dazzling Diamonds glitter (102023), VersaMark (102283)

I stamped using the VersaMark pad and then the Ruby Red pad together, stamped the image on my card stock.  Poured the Heat & Stick powder on to the stamped image.  Shake off excess.  Take the heat gun to the stamped image; then pour glitter on to heated stamped image.  Shake off excess glitter and heat again to set glitter.  Refer to my "Videos/Techniques" section for this technique.

This is a challenge posted by Beate on Splitcoast.  I thought I'd give it a try.  I love the way it came out.  This will be for my stamp club's meeting either in September or October.  I haven't decided yet.  There's still time to join my club in September.  You can check under classes to find out what we'll be making in the September club.   I'll tend to have more intricate cards and new techniques to show in my club classes than regular classes.  So if you'd like to step up your card ideas, then a club is for you.  Email me if you'd like more information on my clubs starting in September.

Thanks for visiting my site.

Hi, Everyone,
Scrap and Stamp has a weekly challenge where they have a theme or a page layout to create your scrapbook pages.  This week's challenge is to use a holiday theme, except for Christmas, and to use one stamp on the page, also.
I used the Cricut for the large pumpkin and vines.  I used Stampin' Up!'s Autumn Harvest set for the other pumpkins and leaves.

Recipe:
Stamp Set:  Autumn Harvest (110372)
Paper:  Earth Elements 12x12 assorted ( 106527) I used Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Garden Green
Inks:  Chocolate Chip (101816)

This page will also be one of your choices on club night September 9, 2009.  There's still room if you'd like to join us for our first club night.  I'm so excited.  I can't wait.  Email me if you'd like to receive more information regarding club night or to place an order.  You can also go to my Stampin' Up! website to place your order for home delivery.

Okay.  I guess this site isn't as easy as I thought to manage.  I just lost my Home page with all my posts.  Now I'm starting anew.  What a downer.  Not only did I lose all my posts, I also lost all the nice comments you've been leaving me.  I think that's the most upsetting because I do love to read them.  You can still view all my creations under the tabs above, but I just won't have any archives or categories liste to the left.  Well, bear with me as I recreate my Home page again.  Ughhh!!!

If you'd like to view my work at my previous site, it's at www.lindawalsh-mycards.blogspot.com or click on the link above for my card gallery
