Stamp With Linda Walsh

Hi, Everyone,

Well, I'm already late with my promise to get one Christmas card done a week.  This is for Week 2.  I'm going to have to step it up a notch but I haven't given up yet.

This card is for the Deconstructed Sketch No. 35 challenge.

I used the Merry Medley Chipboard pack from SU for the tag.  I'm going to try and use these more for my Christmas cards since I don't have enough of them to hold a class with.  All I did was glued on my cardstock and then cut around it.

Visit below for products used.  Thanks for visiting with me.

Hi, Everyone,

Yep, I called this "gorgeous."  I just absolutely love it!  It took me most of a day to complete it, but it's done!  This is also for JUGS120 challenge to use red, white and pink.

Please scroll down for some more close-up pics and directions.
Thanks for visiting with me today!
Linda
Here's some directions and don't forget to scroll down for more pics.

1)  Use the largest scallop heart in the Hearts Framelits collection (125599) and cut out four hearts in chipboard.
2)  Cut out coordinating DSP or CS out of the same scallop heart.  Make sure you cut out two for each heart so you can cover front and back of each heart.  So that's a total of eight hearts.
3)  Use your Crop-A-Dile (108362) and make two holes in your scallop heart to string your satin ribbon through for hanging.  Make sure these holes can't be seen when you place your smaller heart on top made in Steps 4 and 5.
4)  Now use the next size down in the Hearts Framelits collection and cut out four more hearts in chipboard.
5)  Cut out coordinating DSP or CS out of the same heart as in Step 3.  Just cut four of these.  You don't need to have any DSP on the back of these hearts.

Note:  I used some leftover lace from a sewing project and used my ruffle foot to make the ruffle.  You could just put Sticky Strip (104294) on the back of the heart in Step 4 and gather your lace as you go and tack it down on the Sticky Strip

6)  Use your VersaMarker (100901) and color around your edges of the heart in Step 4.  Apply your Heat & Stick Powder and heat with heat gun (100005).  Add Silver Glass Stampin' Glitter (120995) to edges where you put your heat & stick powder.  Heat again to set
7)  Use foam tape to back of these hearts and adhere to big scallop hearts you made in Steps 1 and 2.
8)  Cut out in Red Glimmer Paper (121790) using the third smallest heart from the heart framelits collection
9)  Stamp in Real Red ink (103133) using the Broadsheet Alphabet (120585) the word "Love" and cut out with the Full Heart Punch (119883)
10)  Adhere these hearts on to the banner

Decorate as you'd like.  I just put on a lot of pink, red and white ribbon, and a few different stamps.  Look at the close-up pictures below for some ideas.

Hello, Everyone,
Well, this year I got so behind on my crafting that I wasn't able to get my Christmas cards done.  So I never sent any out.  Me, the card lady.  How dare I?

I'm not one for New Year's Resolutions, but I actually made a promise to myself, and now I need your help, too.  I'll be posting once a week a Christmas card, and guess what?  I'm already behind.   I'm hoping by making it known to you all my intentions so that I'll actually follow through with this resolution.

Well, here's the first one.  I'll post in a few days a second one, and then I'll be on track.  I'm hoping by posting my Christmas cards to you all will keep me on the straight and narrow :)

See below for some details on this card.

Thanks for visiting with me today!

Hello, All,

Aren't these so darn cute?   I made some for Christmas with Christmas teas and everyone loved them.  These two pagodas are using the new Sale-A-Bration paper Everyday Enchantment DSP.  I love this paper!  I've used it on so many projects so far.  The paper just goes together.  Look how different they look but the papers all match.  I got this design from Andrea Walford.

Just fill them with your favorite teas.

Here's some of the products I used:

Stamp Set:  Morning Cup (124089)

Paper:
Lucky Limeade (122926)
Peach parfait (119794)
Pool Party (122924)

Ink:
Peach Parfait (119783)
Lucky Limeade (122935)

Dies:
Fun Flowers (121812)

Thanks for visiting with me today!
Linda
Here's the top of my boxes.
Here's the Christmas teas pagoda I made over the holidays.  All of the products are retired.  I don't know if you've noticed, but the snowflakes on top are the felt ones that were on the Clearance rack way back when.  The paper is retired, also.

Hello,
I love this set.  The banner stamp that's inside the set can be used for so many things.  Plus the heart with the bird just sings a spring card.  My card today, though, can be used for your special Valentine or a wedding or anniversary card.  Here's some pictures of the front and inside of the card.

This card also uses the sketch for the JUGS118 challenge.  I have a few more ideas on how to use this layout, too.  I'll show you more in my next post.

Higlighting: Sweet Centers stamp set (#116521)

“Stampers often ask me what kind of holiday stamps they should get. Of course, so much of the answer depends on your personal style. I look for holiday stamps that can be used in a variety of ways and that coordinate with punches so you can create quickly and easily. The Sweet Centers stamp set is a great holiday set because it meets both the versatility and coordinating punch criteria. The Sweet Centers stamp set is designed to use with the Circle Treat Cups and coordinates with the 1-3/4” Circle punch. It includes heart, hot air balloon, Halloween, ornament, and flower images so you have something for Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Christmas, Birthdays, and spring occasions like Easter or Mother’s Day. Whether or not you use the Circle Treat Cups, the Sweet Centers stamp set is a great multi-holiday stamp set that you can have a lot of fun being creative with!”

Hello, Everyone,

Here's a card for the TLC358 challenge - Let's Get Wet.  You need to put something on your card to simulate wetness, whether it's a puddle, water, etc., using crystal effects, gel, stickles, anything you can think of.

I thought of a fish tank and I used crystal effects for the underwater plants.  I put a piece of the cellophane bags we use to package our cards in underneath the fish bowl.  I did some punch art on my fishies.  And the fish tank is cut out from my Cricut.  Aren't they cute!

This project will be one of our February projects.  If you'd like to join my six-month club and receive this card and others for free, just click here for more information.  The six-month club starts in January.  You still have time to join.

See below for supplies used.

Hi, Everyone,

This will be one of our club projects in January.  I have a six-month club starting in January.  Would you like to make this card set?  Join my club either long distance or locally to receive this set as one of your projects.  Here's a link for more information on my six-month club.  If you're local, you'll still receive the same freebies, but you'll just be attending the classes and stamping all your own projects.  How much fun is that!  So come and join my online community or one of my local clubs and have a whole lot of fun.

Contact me, too, if you have any questions.

This little purse would be great for gift cards or even make ten 3x3 notecards to fit inside.  The materials used in this set are all from the new mini and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs coming out.

If you'd like these catalogs sent to you for free, just contact me to let me know and don't forget to leave your address for me to send them.
